These are the highest-rated restaurants in Peoria, according to Yelp reviews
Yelp recently released its list of the top 100 restaurants in the United States for 2022.
No Peoria restaurants made the cut, and only two in Illinois measured up for Yelp’s list.

5. Dang Banh Mi and Poke
Dang Banh Mi and Poke at 1215 W. Main St. in Peoria is fifth on Yelp’s ranking.
Its menu focuses on a variety of Hawaiian-style poke bowls, including an option to build your own, and Vietnamese-inspired sandwiches like the grilled pork banh mi.
4. Kabab-G
One of a trio of Mediterranean restaurants to crack the Peoria top five, Kabab-G is a Lebanese pitas-and-grills spot located at 7800 N. Sommer St. The menu includes Mediterranean staples including a variety of kebabs and shawarma dishes across the menu. Tabouli, lentil soup and chicken-and-rice kabsa also dot the menu at this popular Peoria eatery.

3. The Chef and the Baker
Mouthwatering baked goods, sandwiches, wraps and more have delivered The Chef and the Baker a perfect five-star review from Peoria Yelpers. Located at 106 E. McClure Ave., this East Bluff restaurant offers “gourmet eats and homemade sweets” at prices fitting any pocketbook.
2. Jerusalem Restaurant
This Middle Eastern restaurant located at 2027 W. Farmington Road in Peoria draws a five-star rating from Peoria Yelpers based on more than 200 reviews. Entrees at Jerusalem Restaurant include chicken and beef shawarma, lamb chops and shish kabob, and a lamb shank special. Those with a sweet tooth would do well to try baklava for dessert.

The top-rated restaurant is Chef Moussa, located at 201 E. Lake Ave. Pulling in a perfect rating of five stars based on more than 150 reviews, this Lebanese eatery is the favorite among Peoria Yelpers.
The menu includes Mediterranean dishes like shawarma chicken, shish taouk chicken kebab, falafel and, of course, Chef Moussa’s hummus. The restaurant is third on Yelp’s recommended list.

Located in Peoria’s Warehouse District at 736 SW Washington St., this spot is popular for lunch, dinner and even brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The menu at Thyme includes pasta in a jar, Cajun shrimp and grits, marsala stuffed chicken and classics like burgers and wings. 40-plus beers dot the menu and the whiskey list is extensive.

Sliding in at No. 1 on Yelp’s recommended Peoria restaurants is One World Cafe. Located at 1245 Main St. near Bradley University, One World is popular among university students and native Peorians alike. The menu includes Greek breakfast pizza, eggplant lasagna, burgers, sandwiches and a lot more.
