Viroqua library to hold Hmong language, cooking classes in August | News
McIntosh Memorial Library of Viroqua will be hosting Hmong language and Hmong cooking classes in the course of the thirty day period of August.
Hmong Language 101 will be an interactive class Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. within the library. For the duration of the course participants will master frequent Hmong language phrases, observe pronunciation and hear about the background of tale cloths. The application will be led by members of the Hmong group. The system will be recurring at the La Crosse General public Library Wednesday, Aug. 3 at 6 p.m.
The Hmong cooking classes will be held at the La Crosse Public Library Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. and at McIntosh Memorial Library Tuesday, Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. Members of the Hmong group will direct the two courses. These courses are created feasible thanks to a collaboration of the HMOOB Cultural & Neighborhood Agency, McIntosh Memorial Library and La Crosse Public Library.
